Seven youth with different abilities from the UnikLearn programme’s fifth cohort received their certificates in a graduation ceremony at Setia Pahlawan Hall, Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism yesterday.

Under An-Nur Harapan, UnikLearn is a life skills and internship programme for youth with different abilities.

Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin presented the certificates.

The graduating trainees were: Chai Sin Ceah, Edwin Lai Ren Xin, Mohammad Hafizin Nabil bin Haji Arifin, Nur Hidayatul Shafiyyah binti Ariffin, Nurul Afiqah binti Irwan, Henry Tang Se Young and Awangku Waie.

After completing nine months of intensive training at the An-Nur Harapan centre, the trainees are now undertaking internships at Jollibee Brunei, Superfish Growers and Ezy Printing.

Upon completion of their attachments, they will each go on to gainful employment or pursue other forms of personal development.

Chai Sin Ceah, who has an internship at Ezy Printing, said the UnikLearn programme has helped her to grow and learn life skills to become an independent person.
