Mohammad Azid expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) and the Japanese Embassy in Brunei Darussalam for the opportunity to participate in this prestigious programme.

As a young entrepreneur who participated in youth entrepreneurship programmes in China, Malaysia, Indonesia and South Korea, Mohammad Azid recognises the immense talent and knowledge of young people worldwide. He is eager to push his own limits and represent Brunei as a youth leader in the SSEAYP.

Mohammad Azid is excited about the opportunity to learn from different cultures, build lasting friendships and gain valuable insights into how other countries approach various issues. He is particularly interested in exploring the cultural nuances and unique perspectives that may have been overlooked in his previous visits.

Upon his return, Mohammad Azid plans to share his experiences with his family and friends, offering them a glimpse into the prestigious SSEAYP and the diverse cultures he encountered. He expresses gratitude to his family and friends for their unwavering support throughout his journey.

Farah Naqibah binti Haji Abdul Rahim, a 24-year-old Universiti Brunei Darussalam graduate and part-time field work assistant, expressed her excitement at being selected as the assistant youth leader for 48th SSEAYP. She shared that this is a significant achievement for her, especially as it’s her first international youth exchange programme. She is proud to represent Brunei on the international stage and eager to gain new experiences and perspectives.

Farah Naqibah’s work as a field work assistant has given her a unique perspective on Brunei’s natural beauty. She hopes to share this perspective with her fellow participants and showcase the country’s rich culture and heritage. She believes that food is a powerful tool for cultural exchange and is eager to introduce her fellow participants to traditional Bruneian cuisine, such as nasi katok and ambuyat.

Farah Naqibah recognises the importance of soft skills, such as communication and teamwork, in today’s interconnected world. She believes that SSEAYP will provide her with valuable opportunities to develop these skills and build lasting friendships with people from different cultures. She is grateful to MCYS, the Japanese Embassy, and everyone involved in the programme for making this experience possible. – Lyna Mohamad
