YOUTH Entrepreneurship Weekend will be held from March 15–17 at the Youth Centre in Bandar Seri Begawan, an event organised by Excel Event Management in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
Over 20 local SMEs will be participating in the event, which is aimed at equipping the country’s youth with business skills and entrepreneurship knowledge, and held to coincide with the Youth Centre’s 50th anniversary and the first term school holidays.
Visitors to the three-day event can join the Business 101 Advisory sessions which will feature speakers from various industries talking about basic business skills on such topics as marketing, financial literacy, business expansion, Millionaire’s Mindset and the ROI Quadrant.
There will also be a dialogue session where a number of successful entrepreneurs and corporate stakeholders will be sharing their success stories with the public.
Other activities will also be held, such as a colouring contest, spelling bee, radio-controlled (RC) Mini Z tournament, car boot sale as well as games organised by youth of the Youth Centre.
The event is open to all from 2pm to 10pm on March 15, 10am to 10pm on March 16, and 8am to 8pm on March 17.
Ten per cent of proceeds from the event will go to the National Orphans Fund.
