TWELVE local youth left for Tokyo yesterday to take part in JENESYS2018 Inbound Programme (Culture) Japan-ASEAN Students Conference from February 19-26.
Present at the airport to bid farewell to the delegation was Acting Director of Youth and Sports Mariam binti Ulat.
Also present was Secretary II at the Embassy of Japan in Brunei Darussalam Hiroki Akasaka.
The participants are divided into six groups according to the themes provided by the organiser – Agriculture, Energy, Community Designing, Health, Gender and Elderly Employment.
They will visit Tohoku and Kanto prefectures and engage in several activities on Japanese culture and heritage and will visit Edo-Tokyo Museum, University of Tokyo, Tokyo Rinkai Disaster Prevention Park, Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, Gender Equality Bureau Cabinet Office, and Rias Ark Museum of Art.
