Youth clean mosque, distribute donations

Some 30 students participated in the One Week One Masjid project organised by the Politeknik Brunei (PB) Centre for Student Development and Innovation (CSDI) under the Sentuhan Ramadhan Programme at Sultan Sharif Ali Mosque.

The programme started on July 31 in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha moon sighting (hilal).

The project aimed to nurture students’ involvement in the field of religion and community.

Project leader Md Iqbal Hisyamuddin from the School of ICT explained that the project was organised for youth to be more engaged in community services and religious events to benefit them mentally and physically.

Sultan Sharif Ali Mosque Imam Haji Mohd Zaidin bin Haji Mohd Noorsaid with the project open to youth, it provided an opportunity for them to be engaged with the community.

The project commenced with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Tahlil led by the project leader. It was followed by a cleaning campaign and concluded with mass Maghrib and Sunnat Hajat prayers, as well as the distribution of donations sponsored by volunteers.
