Three hundred youth are participating in the Islamic Youth Leadership Convention (KKBI 2020). The participants are from youth associations and higher educational institutions, among others.

Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs and guest of honour Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar officiated the opening of the two-day event at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Berakas yesterday.

Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom said the KKBI 2020 serves as a platform for youth to interact and find solutions to matters discussed during the convention.

The deputy minister believed the event would also serve as a medium in producing positive youth leadership in the country in the aspects of ideas and creativity. These values shall be guided with moral and material support, including with regards to enhancement of skills and self-confidence. The two-day convention also sees the participation of youth from the Religious Council of Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore (MABIMS) member countries.

The convention, themed Belia Holistik Harapan Negara, is held in conjunction with the 36th National Day celebration, and serves as a platform to unite all Muslim youth who can contribute ideas and solutions towards improving religious youth activities.
