FOLLOWING the success of its first branch in Kiulap, Yellow Cab Pizza Co opened the doors to its second branch yesterday at the Pelangi Complex in the Serusop commercial area.

It is hoped that the latest Yellow Cab Pizza Co will be able to better serve customers residing in the areas of Berakas and Muara.

Deputy Permanent Secretary (Tourism) at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism Wardi bin Haji Mohammad Ali attended as the guest of honour.

Dato Paduka Haji Harun bin Haji Ismail, the Chairman of YTT Sdn Bhd, which owns the Yellow Cab Pizza franchise in Brunei and East Malaysia, said, “We have come a long way since the opening of the first Yellow Cab Pizza Co branch in Kiulap on August 11, 2017, through the hard work and commitment of the Board of Directors and our staff, as well as the guidance and expertise of Yellow Cab Pizza Philippines, and the acceptance of Bruneian pizza lovers.”

He recalled the opening day of the first Yellow Cab Pizza Co outlet, “With 200 people queuing up on fully booked nights, we can definitely appreciate the customers’ fondness for our pizzas which are freshly made New York-style pizzas, with local Halal ingredients, to fill the niche that clearly Brunei was missing.”

He also disclosed that with the opening of the second branch, their local employees constitute more than 50 per cent of the total workforce.

Dato Paduka Haji Harun conveyed his gratitude to Max’s Group for its continuous guidance and support in bringing Yellow Cab Pizza to Brunei.

“The opening of this store is just a step forward in bringing the famous Yellow Cab Pizza to Brunei, Sarawak, Sabah and Labuan,” he said. “The future is bright for Yellow Cab Pizza Brunei, I can assure you that.”

Peter H King, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Max’s Group International from the Philippines who was on hand to witness the opening ceremony in Serusop, told the Bulletin, “Since the start of the first branch, it has been a huge success. To further build on the brand, we have to open more stores rapidly. We are not stopping here; we will be announcing new stores opening soon.”
