More than 180 Year 8 and 9 students of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Secondary School attended the Kenali ASEAN roadshow at the school’s multipurpose hall.
The briefing was delivered by Head of International Affairs Unit of the Information Department Mufidah binti Abdul Hakim instilling awareness among the students of being part of the ASEAN community, in alignment with the ASEAN motto ‘One Vision, One Identity, One Community’.
Students also engaged in an ASEAN quiz segment.
During the roadshow, a mobile app ‘We ASEAN’ containing information on ASEAN and ASEAN member states, quiz, ASEAN calendar, photo and video gallery was also promoted.
The application is one of the projects under the SCI, ASEAN-COCI and can be downloaded through Google Play for android users and App Store for iOS users.
Secretariat of SCI, ASEAN-COCI also promoted ASEAN Secretariat publication, the ASEAN Communication Master Plan II (ACMP II), to support the implementation of the Kuala Lumpur Declaration on ASEAN Vision 2035 and is available at the Information Department’s official website.
An initiative of the Information Department at the Prime Minister’s Office, the roadshow disseminates and provides basic information on ASEAN to secondary school students and is conducted by the department’s International Affairs Unit as the Secretariat for the Sub-Committee on Information (SCI) of the ASEAN-COCI.
