Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah donated BND76,900 in financial aid to disaster victims and home repairs for the underprivileged in a ceremony at its headquarters yesterday.
Fire victims from Kampong Maraburong and Kampong Perpindahan Bukit Beruang and victims of collapsed houses in Kampong Bakut Berumput, Kampong Lurong Dalam, Kampong Burong Pinggai Ayer and Kampong Lurong Sikuna received BND29,900.
Meanwhile, two families from Kampong Junjongan and Kampong Bakut Pengiran Siraja Muda ‘B’ received in total BND47,000 financial assistance for home repairs.
Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar in his capacity as the Deputy Chairman of the Yayasan Board of Directors handed over the donations.
Permanent Secretary (Planning, Land Use and Environment) at the Ministry of Development Dr Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak, in her capacity as Acting Yayasan Managing Director, was also present.
