The Children’s Cancer Foundation (YASKA) held an outreach programme in the Belait District on Sunday to raise awareness for a number of health conditions faced by young children.
The YASKA roadshow, held at Mohammad Jamalul Alam Mosque in Kuala Belait, touched on health issues such as childhood cancer, thalassaemia, obesity and iron deficiency anaemia.
The roadshow held games, quizzes and activities with prizes to help disseminate information on the various health conditions. The foundation aimed to engage with Muslimah groups comprising grandmothers, mothers and aunts of children with those conditions. – Daniel Lim
