The ‘Business Technics for MSMEs’ workshop series organised by the Indonesian Embassy in Brunei Darussalam is set to conclude with a final workshop themed ‘Marketing Online Technic’ on December 4.
The workshop, which kicked off in November, is held for Indonesian micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) operating in Brunei Darussalam. It addresses the needs and challenges faced during the pandemic, and discusses how to prepare for the recovery phase.
Deputy Chief of Mission at the Indonesian Embassy in Brunei Darussalam Irwan Iding said, “After lessons on cooperatives and basic financial management, the next workshop will focus on online marketing, which has become a crucial ingredient to business success during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Online platforms have their own characteristics, which entrepreneurs need to familiarise themselves with, he said.
“The pandemic has placed MSMEs as the most vulnerable business group. They face many difficulties and challenges to keep their business running.
“On the other hand, the pandemic teaches us to place greater focus on innovation, to think creatively, and to adapt to current demands and competitive markets, while continuing efforts to develop the business,” Irwan said.
