Sixty Human Resource Society (HRS) members, comprising HR professionals from public and private sectors, attended a workshop and connect session on the topic of Organisational Effectivess Essentials at Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre (PJSC) building on Saturday.
The workshop was held with Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) and PJSC as key event partners.
It followed the dialogue outcome from the HRS Learn and Connect Series: Global Trends that Keep HR Up at Night in August to provide tools to manage the rapidly changing environment and its important relevance to HR.
The event kicked off with opening remarks from Vice President of HRS Marzalenie Haji Omar, who is currently the learning and development manager at Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP).
The workshop-style session, led by Head of Organisational Effectiveness at BSP Azrina Taib, provided an introduction to organisational effectiveness, or more widely known in the industry as organisation development (OD), insight into key organisational models and tools used to diagnose an organisation’s effectiveness.
Members were taught important practices in OD that an organisation needs to embrace and maintain its levels of performance within a rapidly chang ing environment to enable growth in the business through diagnostics and effective interventions.
The event concluded with the presentation of certificates by Marzalenie to Azrina, and the event partner representative, Human Resource Manager for JPMC and PJSC Genevieve Yee.
