Working together to keep neighbourhood safe

A quarterly meeting to discuss cooperation and interaction for Royal Brunei Police Force’s (RBPF) Neighbourhood Watch Programme was held at the Officers Mess of the Belait Police District Head-quarters recently.

It was chaired by Acting Commanding Officer of the Belait Police District Superintendent of Police Haji Mohammad Azrie bin Haji Talip.

Legislative Council member, Acting Penghulu of Mukim Labi and Village Head of Kampong Labi I Yang Berhormat Hanapi bin Mohd Siput, government officers, RBPF officers of the Belait Police District, mukim penghulus, as well as village heads from the Belait District were present.

Statistics of crime in the villages in the Belait District, as well as the neighbourhood watch statistics during the fourth quarter of 2019 were shared.

Meanwhile, Muara Police Station led by Senior Inspector Saidin bin Mohamad Salleh in his capacity as the Officer-in-Charge carried out an approach to the residence of Acting Village Head of RPN/STKRJ Tanah Jambu Haji Abdul Wahab bin Haji Kassim to discuss plans for the Neighbourhood Watch activity as well as to share information on crime.

The Neighbourhood Watch Unit of the Panaga Police Station along with members of the RPN Kampong Panaga Neighbourhood Watch patrolled along the RPN Panaga and abandoned areas.

No criminal activities were recorded.
