Huifong’s Art Gallery (HAG) will organise an art exhibition and book launch at Simpur Hall, Horticulture Business Centre in Rimba from December 21-24, in conjunction with Brunei December Festival 2020.
The Garden Rhapsodies Art Exhibition will showcase 20 watercolour paintings by local artist Huifong Ng and the launch of her new art book The Garden Rhapsodies in English and Chinese languages.
This was announced during a press conference held at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT).
Deputy Permanent Secretary (Tourism) at the MPRT Wardi bin Haji Mohammad Ali was present.
HAG will also hold a forum on ‘The Art World Post-COVID: How the Art World Adapts to the New Normal and What the Art World Sees as New Opportunities on December 19 at the Baiduri Community Space, Baiduri Headquarters.
Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Apong will officiate the exhibition and book launch.
Huifong Ng said the forum will bring together speakers from 10 different countries Bahrain, Brunei China, Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Malta, Singapore and Thailand to discuss art-related topics virtually.
The forum will also discuss adapting to the new normal, sustainability between art and ecosystem, and how to turn challenges into opportunities during and after the pandemic and other related issues, she added.
The event is supported by Baiduri Bank.
