The closing ceremony of the Maulidur Rasul celebration, along with the recitation of Doa, for students sitting for examinations and an appreciation ceremony for the Women’s Bureau members of the Kampong Sengkurong ‘B’ Village Consultative Council (MPK) was held at a cafe in Telanai Avenue yesterday.
The event saw more than 40 bureau members attend, with three members celebrated for reaching the age of 70 this year. The annual appreciation ceremony honours members for their efforts, teamwork and contribution in strengthening the group.
Chairperson Hajah Rukiah binti Haji Mohd Yassin said the MPK Sengkurong ‘B’ Women’s Bureau, through the initiative of the executive committee and its members, traditionally holds the Maulidur Rasul celebration in the Islamic month of Rabiulawal. – Azlan Othman
