Women congregants participated in the 52nd weekly Munajat for the fourth time on Saturday.
The event was jointly organised by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and Ministry of Development (MoD).
Among the attendees were the spouse of Minister of Religious Affairs Datin Hajah Nahriah binti Haji Awang Asbi, and spouse of Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Datin Norazimah binti Haji Ramlee.
The recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah was led by Permanent Secretary (Security and Law) at the PMO Hajah Nor Hashimah binti Haji Mohammed Taib and its female officers at Ash-Shaliheen Mosque. This was followed by the reading of Surah Yaasiin led by the Permanent Secretaries at the MFA Pengiran Datin Shazainah binti Pengiran Dato Paduka Shariffuddin and Pengiran Norhashimah binti Pengiran Mohd Hassan; and Hajah Johariah binti Haji Abdul Wahab from the International Convention Centre.
Meanwhile, the Doa Munajat was read by Senior Instinbat Officer at the State Mufti’s Office Hajah Siti Khadizah binti Haji Emran.
The event also saw a religious talk on ‘Becoming Women of Heaven’ by Religious Development Officer at Belait Dakwah Unit of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Nurhuwaina binti Mamud.
There was also a recitation of Asmaa Ul-Husna led by Permanent Secretary (Planning, Land Use and Environment) at the MoD Dr Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak along with women officers and staff from MoD at its surau.
The Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam was read by Religious Officer at the Mosque Affairs Department Hajah Surinah/Tini binti Haji Shamsuddin.
