Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) held a Women Entrepreneurship Sharing Session on starting a business yesterday.
Organised by the Career Guidance Unit of the Student Affairs Office at UTB, it featured presentations from three female speakers.
Founder of Mayang Couture and Femmoghul Nurul Izzati Naqibah binti Zaidi spoke on how one can jump start their business and adapt technologies to become Industry 4.0-ready.
Founder of Big BWN Project, Wommenovation Brunei and the Brunei Young Entrepreneur Project; and Co-founder of the Brunei Womenpreneur network Noorhafizah Rashid spoke on dealing with negativity when starting up a business.
Founder of KAVA Streetwear and Co-founder of Seni Moda Siti Nazmah binti Haji Abdul Samad spoke on the opportunities of doing a fashion business in Brunei Darussalam.
The event’s objectives were to promote students to venture in the world of business raising awareness on Industry 4.0 technologies; and encouraging fashion designers and fashion enthusiasts to venture into the modest fashion business in Brunei. The event concluded with a fashion products mini showcase.
