The Council of Women of Brunei Darussalam (CWBD) held their annual Tedarus Al-Quran ceremony to mark the start of Ramadhan for 144 Hijrah yesterday.
CWBD Vice President I Pengiran Datin Paduka Hajah Mariam binti Pengiran Haji Matarsat said the annual religious event gathers all associations under the CWBD to enliven and glorify the month of Ramadhan, as well as to get close to Al-Quran.
The activity also forged closer ties among its members and served as a platform to improve the recitation of Al-Quran. – Rokiah Mahmud
