Winners receive prizes as Art and Science Month ends

YAYASAN Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Primary School (SRYSHHB) marked the end of its Arts and Science Month with a closing ceremony recently.

At the Primary School Hall, winners of the activities held throughout the month were feted with prizes. In the two categories under the art competition, top students from Years 1 – 5 were handed prizes for their artworks.

SRYSHHB Senior Teacher Abdul Samat bin Banin presented the prizes to the winners of the National Day category and Cartoon category.

Meanwhile, healthy eaters were given recognition for their efforts in during the Healthy Eating Awareness activity. Students were awarded with prizes and badges by SRYSHHB Headmistress Hajah Mariam binti Haji Ladi.

The principal also pinned badges onto newly inducted members of Clean and Green Watchers. The selected students – from Years 4 to 5 – pledged to conserve water and the environment, be role models to fellow students, and be mindful of food wastage among others as part of their membership of the newly established school club.

Tokens of appreciation were also presented to representatives from the Health Promotion Centre (HPC), student interns from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), and the Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) for their roles in promoting health throughout the month.

A slideshow and video presentation were also shown during the ceremony.
