BTS J-Hope dropped an epic comeback trailer for BTS’s new album Map of the Soul: 7 on Big Hit Entertainment YouTube channel last Monday.

The group typically drop a solo track and music video prior to the release of their album.

However, this time the released two solo tracks from their upcoming album; Suga’s Interlude: Shadow last month and J-Hope’s Outro: Ego.

The two tracks sets a contrast with Suga’s having a dark concept as they expressed their hardships of living in the spotlight, while J-Hope’s reveals a more bright sound as he looks back on all the things in his life that shaped and made him who he is today, according to Soompi.

Fans were quick to draw comparisons between the two ‘Map of the Soul: 7’ trailers’ messages and imagery.

ARMY also pointed out that Ego begins with a reference to Intro: 2 Cool 4 Skool, the intro from BTS’s 2013 debut mini album before flashing back through a quick montage of BTS’s past music videos.

BTS’s Map of the Soul: 7 is set for release on February 21, while the music video for the lead single will be released on February 28.
