It’s exterior body features a stylish and futuristic C-clamp headlamps, a revised stylised grille and a sculpted front facia, which enhanced the commanding presence of this new member of the Ford SUV family.

The increased width firmly plants Everest at its corners while at the rear, the Next-Gen Everest features sleek taillights and combined with its prominent side shoulder lines and wide stance, it further enhances the SUV’s outlook and appeal, while the updated chassis and refined suspension are reflected to the bold, rugged exterior.

Its stylish, commanding and sleek features enforce an active and energetic outlook, which it backs up impressively with its drivability, handling and luxurious modern interior comforts and talking about interior, it deserves to be exceptional – sophisticated, spacious and beautifully crafted with new soft touch finishes – definitely designed and engineered to be a sanctuary.

Surrounded with high quality soft touch finish with premium leather seats, it provides the driver and passenger with luxurious comfort, be it on short or long drives. The spacious cabin also features an updated instrument panel with a 12.4-inch fully digital instrument cluster and integrated 12-inch centre LCD touchscreen. 

Adding to the sense of comfort is the ambient lighting that highlights unique finishes and other comfort and convenience features including integrated wireless charging and electric parking brake

Moving on to the performance side of the next gen Everest – it is powered by the the proven 2.0L Bi-Turbo diesel engine, which is renowned for its eager performance, superb refinement and fuel efficiency and linked to Ford’s advanced 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission incorporates real-time adaptive shift-scheduling that allows the transmission to adapt to changing driving conditions, ensuring that the optimal gear is selected for performance, fuel-efficiency or refinement in any driving scenario.

A unique Terrain Management System and Selectable Drive Modes featured into the Everest optimise the vehicle performance to suit a range of different conditions, to its sophisticated surround view cameras and rear differential lock, off-road adventures are even more achievable and with the twist of a dial, the Everest can choose from up to six drive modes designed to improve on- and off-road comfort and capability. 

Depending on the market and variant, these drive modes are Normal for everyday use and can be used on- and off-road in general driving conditions.

Eco to maximises fuel economy by reducing throttle sensitivity and upshifting gears earlier and adds a more economical cruise control tune and Tow/Haul, which is designed to be used when towing or carrying a heavy load and optimises gear shift timing to maintain power delivery and engine braking in hilly terrain, it also increases steering weight for improved control.

Slippery mode is to be use on firm but slippery surfaces, like wet grass where the engine and transmission are optimised to reduce wheel spin with a faster acting traction control setting for enhanced grip and control. Mud/Ruts mode is for off-road in soft, muddy, rutted or waterlogged tracks and this mode is designed to help maintain vehicle momentum but still allow for some wheel slip to assist in clearing mud from the tyre tread. While, the Sand mode, which is another off-road only mode designed to be used on both sand and deep snow and optimises power delivery, gear shifts and stability control to maintain vehicle momentum.

New and enhanced driver assist technologies and safety features are loaded in the next gen Everest, including the Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go and Lane Centering, enabling the Everest to detect lane markings and help keep the vehicle centred in the lane.

Other safety features include Lane Keeping Alert, Lane Keeping Aid along with Road Edge Detection and Driver Warning. Pre-Collision Assist with Dynamic Brake Support, Forward Collision Warning, Automated Emergency Braking and Reverse Brake Assist further up the arsenal of innovative safety features in the Next-Gen Everest.
