Persatuan Kemajuan Insan’s (KESAN) webinar, ‘Student Survival Guide’ saw 65 participants comprising students from tertiary institutions in the Sultanate including Laksamana College of Business (LCB), Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali, Universiti Brunei Darussalam and Universiti Teknologi Brunei.
The webinar was aimed at helping students to better prepare themselves for university life.
Persatuan KESAN President Muhammad Najib bin Haji Latif, in leading the event, reflected on his own experiences during university. He focussed on a number of aspects including how to manage a proper scheduling system, how to work in groups and the important steps when preparing for future job prospects.
Participants highlighted the benefits of the knowledge gained including Nur Shodiiqoh binti Mohd Suaib, who said, “The programme answered all questions and met the objectives, the environment was fun and engaging, and the speakers were motivating.”
Meanwhile, Nur Zulfaa Insyirah binti Dzulkifli said, “It was such an interactive programme. The knowledge delivered will not only be beneficial during my university life, but also after graduation.”
The organisation also offers students to join the ‘Catalyst’ mentorship programme, where participants will be under the guidance of KESAN mentors. The programme offers monthly activities designed to support and further develop the students’ capabilities.
