Publishing picture books for children was among the topics discussed in a webinar organised by the Brunei Darussalam Library Association (BLA) recently.
The webinar was officiated by BLA co-fouder Haji Abu Bakar bin Haji Zainal and moderated by Amal Syukriah binti Haji Abdul Kahar. The webinar was participated by librarians, art students and illustrators representing local and ASEAN countries.
The three panels featured writer Dr Aammton Alias and illustrators Pengiran Kamarul Zaman and Md Faiz Haji Morshidi, who have both won the Samsung Kidstime Award.
The forum aimed to recognise local children’s book writers and illustrators, and to help them forge alliances with other content providers to produce quality resources for children.
