A cleaning operation on the raw water compartments of the Bukit Barun Water Treatment Plant is scheduled from 9am to 1pm today, the Public Works Department (JKR) announced yesterday.
The operation will bring temporary water supply disruptions and low water pressure particularly to homes on higher grounds in Kampong Batong, Kampong Masin, RPN Perpindahan Lugu, Jalan Pasir Berakas, RPN Lambak Kanan, Mukim Lumapas as well as parts of Mukim Pengkalan Batu, Kampong Subok and Kampong Belimbing.
The department assured that the measures are being taken to expeditiously restore water supply to normalcy.
The public is urged to exercise prudent water usage and to contact Darussalam Line 123 for clean water supply through tankers.
