Volunteers urged to remain active, share ideas

Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah volunteers must continue to be active and share skills as well as ideas when implementing welfare projects and activities to help the underprivileged, said Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud during an appreciation ceremony for Yayasan volunteers at Serambi Suluh Hall of Tarindak D’Seni on Friday.

Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti, who is also member of the Board of Directors of Yayasan and Chairman of Yayasan Aid Review Committee, said, “Alhamdulillah, the volunteers under Welfare Service and Social Development have progressed and attracted the community’s interest in providing assistance.”

The minister also said Yayasan will organise several activities to increasing knowledge, motivation, management and leadership to produce volunteers who are credible strategic partners.

Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti, Acting Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar as member of the Yayasan Board of Directors and Deputy Chairman of Yayasan Aid Review Committee, and Permanent Secretary (Planning, Land Use and Environment) at the Ministry of Development and Acting Managing Director of Yayasan Dr Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak presented certificates of appreciation to 207 recipients.

Member of the Yayasan Board of Directors and Yayasan Aid Review Committee Dato Paduka Haji Hamiddon bin Haji Ibrahim was also present.
