The Muslimah group of Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar Mosque in Kampong Bokok, Temburong recently paid a visit to their counterparts in Kampong Batu Marang Mosque to exchange views and discuss mosque activities.
Head of Muslimah Al Ma’wa Group of Kampong Batu Marang Mosque Hajah Rakiah binti Haji Ajak said the visit paved the way for future cooperation through strengthening ties.
The group received support from the Kampong Batu Marang Mosque committee members in conducting various activities inside and outside of the mosque, she added.
“Muslimah Al Ma’wa conducted the Khatam Al-Quran ceremony in conjunction with the Silver Jubilee celebration of the mosque, joined by Muslimah members from Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Pekan Tutong, Lorong 3 Selatan Mosque in Seria and Utama Mohammad Salleh Mosque in Pekan Bangar, Temburong District,” she said.
She added that all 42 Muslimah Al Ma’wa members are also attending guidance classes every Monday and Dikir activities every Wednesday.
“With the consensus and support from the members and the mosque committee, I am confident that the Al Ma’wa group will be able to move forward and serve as an example to other Muslimah groups in the future,” she said.
The ceremony saw a Dikir performance and concluded with an exchange of souvenirs between the two groups.
