WeCare organised the fourth series of ‘Bruneian for Bruneian’ (B4B) to provide assistance to families affected by COVID-19.

The programme was a platform for Bruneians to channel their monetary donations which were distributed as daily necessities to assist others in need as well as for home repairs.

The programme, launched in April last year and divided into four phases, collected BND32,257.46.

The first and second phases of the programme were held last year while the third and fourth phases were conducted this year.

In the first two phases, the programme distributed basic necessities and hygiene kits to those in need.

The third phase focussed on providing assistance to a family by repairing their home while also bringing them out for sightseeing.

The fourth phase conducted on November 6 saw WeCare collaborating with Acting Village Head of Kampung Katok ‘B’ Captain (Rtd) Pengiran Muhd Redzuan bin Pengiran Haji Said in distributing necessities to several families in Kampong Katok ‘B’.

WeCare also collaborated with Acting Village Head of Kampong Mata-Mata Pengiran Muhd Nurramzu Nasri bin Pengiran Haji Muhd Salleh and Kampong Mata-Mata Village Consultative Council to distribute essential items to several families living in the area.

Some 50 families received the essential items during the distribution in both villages.

The programme is set to begin the next phase to cover other villages. WeCare welcomes collaboration from village heads.
