“Vehicle licence (VL) and driving license (DL) can be collected at post offices,” said Acting Postmaster General at the Postal Services Department (JPP) Haji Aminuddin bin Haji Md Taib yesterday.
“DLs and VLs can be collected from various branches since its implementation on August 24,” said the acting postmaster general during a Ministry of Transport and Infocommunication (MTIC) press conference.
He said the service is an option for applicants to collect their licences.
The branches for collection include the Rimba Post Office for those living in Brunei-Muara District, Telisai Post Office in Tutong District, Kuala Belait-Mumong Post Office in Belait District and the Bangar Post Office in Temburong District.
He said the renewed licence is sent through mail once verified, a phone notification will be sent to the applicants.
“The applicants will be given a time and date for collection,” said the acting post-master general.
He said licences not collected will be sent back to the Land Transport Department (JPD).
The acting postmaster general expressed his gratitude to the public for their understanding and cooperation as well as reminded them to follow procedures when collecting mail or packages at the post offices.
