Vaccines for five- to 11-years-olds will arrive soon, said Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah at the daily press conference yesterday.
The minister, chairing the press conference on behalf of the Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, who is under a quarantine order and following Ministry of Health protocols, said the paperwork is “done at this point, and we are only waiting for logistical arrangements for the consignments”, of the vaccine.
He said the arrival is “not too far” and will be announced in due time, along with the start of the vaccination programme for the age group.
Meanwhile, as the number of cases rise, the minister urged for the public to play their part and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines, as well as to get a booster shot of the COVID-19 vaccination.
