Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) and Micronet International College (MIC) signed another memorandum of agreement (MoA) yesterday.
Minister of Energy Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mat Suny bin Haji Mohd Hussein as Deputy Chairman of UTB Council was the guest of honour during the event at The Empire Brunei in Jerudong.
Signing on behalf of UTB was its Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, witnessed by Dean of School of Computing and Informatics Dr Mohamad Saiful bin Haji Omar. Representing MIC was its CEO Sylvester Yong and witnessed by MIC General Manager Sharon Chin.
The MIC CEO expressed gratitude to the college for becoming a partner to offer UTB-MIC Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computing with a major in Network Security and Bachelor of Science (honours) in Computing with a major in Multimedia.
Professor Dr Hajah Zohrah commended on the collaboration resulting in a four-year articulation programme that will commence in August 2021.
The agreement will ensure a seamless pathway for eligible students in seeking admission to university. Under the MoA, MIC will deliver the first year of the four-year articulation degree programme and the students will then continue the remaining three years of their studies at UTB.
