Urgent call for blood donations as supplies run low

The Blood Donation Centre is calling for the public to donate blood as supply of all blood types that are immediately needed for blood transfusions in all public hospitals are running low.

To help replenish the supply of blood, the public can donate blood at The Blood Donation Centre, Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital or any nearby blood bank.

The hours for registration for blood donation are 8.15am to 11.45am and 1.30pm to 4pm from Monday to Thursday as well as on Saturday.

Donors are allowed to make use of the paid car park in Block 10 of Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleh Hospital for free for two hours. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health will be hosting several blood donation campaigns at a number of locations:

Mulia Hotel is hosting a a blood donation drive at its premises today from 10am to 3pm; the Pejabat Badan Tanmiah Harta of Brunei Islamic Religious Council is hosting a blood donation campaign at Onecity Shopping Centre on August 7 from 10am
to 2pm; and Lugu Light Industrial park at Lugu Foodcourt), park on August 8 from 9am to noon.
