Strict adherence to COVID-19 preventative measures will be in place during a job fair from February 19 to 21.
Following prevention measures set by the Ministry of Health, the venue at the OneCity Shopping Centre, Jalan Utama Salambigar will have maximum capacities allocated to designated areas. Only a maximum of 100 visitors can enter the exhibition area and 80 jobseekers at the walk-in interview area at any one time.
For jobseekers interested in participating in the interview sessions, a CV pre-screening process will beconducted by Job Center Brunei (JCB) based on the job requirements set by the employers, as means of crowd control in the walk-in interview area.
Those meeting the job criteria will be issued a queue number for an interview with employers.
Meanwhile, those not meeting the job criteria will be job matched to other more suitable positions aligned to their qualification and experience. Visitors to the Recruitment Fair are also reminded to practice social distancing and to scan the BruHealth QR Code prior to entering the premise. The fair will take place over three days starting on February 19. The exhibition will open from 10am until 6pm, except on Friday where it will begin at 2.30pm.
Over 600 vacancies are available in more than 35 companies from various sectors. These include Oil and Gas, Healthcare, Retail, Accommodation and Food Services. Thirteen per cent of the vacancies will be for professionals, managers, executives and technicians (PMET) roles.
Some jobs available include positions as Marketing Clerk, Human Resource Officer, Administration Assistant, HSSE Officer, Heavy Vehicle Driver, Assistant Finance Manager and many others.
JCB will also provide free services and resources, to assist both job seekers and employers in the job matching process. Those services include jobseeker and company registration into the JCB portal, job matching and employment consultation or job matching either online or face to face, as well as, assistance on CV and interview techniques and tips. The walk-in interview sessions will start on Friday from 2.30pm to 5.30pm and on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to noon and 1.30 pm to 5.30 pm.
