University swears in new student leadership

The Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) welcomed its new student leadership at a ceremony at Tarbiyah Hall yesterday.

Some 56 students comprising Years 2 and 3 students under the Bachelor Degree in Religious Teaching programme and Higher Diploma in Religious Teaching were sworn in as new Student Representative Council (MPP) members for 2021/2022 session.

The ceremony was coordinated by the Student Affairs Section through MPP and attended by KUPU SB Ra’es Dr Haji Adanan bin Haji Basar.

Former MPP president for 2020/2021 session Wan Muhammad Zahid bin Metusin gave a speech followed by a video presentation and announcement of the new MPP members for 2021/2022.

MPP President for 2021/2022 Haji Ahmad bin Haji Abas gave a speech that pledged to carry out the tasks entrusted upon them, set an example for their peers and adhere to the university’s rules.

Other activities at the event include financial presentation, handover of documents, dissolution speech and swearing in of new MPP members by KUPU SB Ra’es.
