Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) Rector Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal was recently in Makkah, Saudi Arabia to attend Persidangan Agung Rabitah Universiti Islam (IUL) to discuss amendments to its constitution and regulations as well as appoint new board members.
IUL was established in 1969 with membership from Islamic universities around the world. The conference aims to highlight the contribution and efforts of Islamic universities and institutions of higher education in the Arab and Islamic world in providing the best knowledge and services to the global community as well as strengthening cooperation between members at the international level.
UNISSA’s involvement in IUL began in 2016 as part of the university’s efforts to join hands with Islamic universities internationally to spread academic excellence to the wider world.
