Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) through the Mushaf Publication Unit handed over 4,111 UNISSA Mushaf to Arabic schools in the country recently.
UNISSA Rector Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal presented UNISSA Mushaf to Hassanal Bolkiah Boys Arabic Secondary School and Temburong Arabic School.
Assistant Rector (Academic) Associate Professor Dr Siti Sara binti Haji Ahmad and Assistant Rector (Students Affairs and Alumni) Dr Hajah Lilly Suzana binti Haji Shamsu handed over UNISSA Mushaf to Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Arabic School, the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Girls Arabic Religious Secondary School and the Bandar Seri Begawan Arabic Preparatory School.
Meanwhile, Assistant Rector (Research, International and Services) Dr Arman bin Haji Asmad made the presentation to Ma’had Islam Brunei and Belait Arabic School.
The first ever locally-written UNISSA Mushaf has been used for the first time as the head of the 10th Hafl Al-Takharruj of UNISSA on November 9, 2020. Since its publication, over 6,500 copies of the UNISSA Mushaf waqaf have been distributed including overseas’ communities such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia and Singapore. – Azlan Othman
