Eight students from the third and fourth year of Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali visited the Teng Yun Chinese Temple in the capital on Thursday to better understand the Chinese culture.
The students were greeted by the temple’s Executive Committee Chairman Lee Eng Ching and executive committee members.
Muhammad Firdaus bin Haji Abdul Rashid, a third-year student from the Usuluddin Aqidah and Da’wah course said, “The visit is part of our assignment.
“We want to understand Chinese culture in the country.
“We have many inquiries on Chinese culture in the Sultanate because of the limited information we have previously obtained.
“We learnt about its origin and ritual through the visit,” he added.
