UNISSA appoints new students’ council

Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) appointed new members for its Student Representative Council (MPP UNISSA) for the 2019/2020 session yesterday.

Rector of UNISSA Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal delivered an Amanat to the newly appointed students’ council.

The Rector of UNISSA expressed his appreciation to the MPP UNISSA 2018/2019 session for their tremendous contribution.

He hoped the experience they obtained will benefit in their working life later on.

Dr Haji Norarfan also hoped the students will continue to contribute towards UNISSA and the community even though they are now not part of the students’ council anymore. As for the newly appointed students’ council, he advised them on the guidelines and the role and importance of MPP UNISSA towards realising UNISSA’s mission and vision.

The students were also advised to follow on the example of character and leadership of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) by practising four concepts – Siddiq, Amanah, Tabligh and Fatanah.

For the 2019/2020 session, Muhammad Hanafi bin Rosli from the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Finance was appointed as President while Vice-President I is held by Mohammad Rawi Syazwi bin Ratino from the Halalan Thayyiban Research Centre. Hajah Siti Nur Khadijah binti Haji Abu Samah from the Faculty of Arabic Language will serve as Vice-President II.

Deputy rector, assistant rector and officers of UNISSA were also present.
