    Unforgettable memory for Youth Bus participants

    Youth Bus programme participant Dayangku Asqina Nur Aiman binti Pengiran Mohamad Aminuddin from the Brunei-Muara District called the programme a memorable experience and full of unforgettable moments.

    She added that the highlight of the experience was getting to know other participants and establishing a meaningful relationship, knowing the roles they play in developing the nation.

    Meanwhile, Mohammad Nur Aiman bin Mohamad Yusri also from the Brunei-Muara District said, “We gained a lot of knowledge and experience both formally and informally and had a chance to visit all youth centres in each district.”

    The participants shared this during an interview with the Sunday Bulletin after the closing ceremony to mark the end of the Youth Bus programme at the Belalong Community Hall in Temburong District, organised by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) through its Youth and Sports Department.

    The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) through its Youth and Sports Department held a closing ceremony to mark the end of the Youth Bus programme, held in conjunction with the 17th National Youth Day celebration

    Permanent Secretary (Youth) at the MCYS Haji Zakaria bin Haji Serudin, chairman of the latest instalment of the Youth Bus programme, said one of the aims of the programme was to unite youth from the four districts.

    The programmes, he added exposed the youth to landmarks and resources in the Sultanate.

    The programme was also designed to help participants reach their potential by increasing knowledge and skills towards self-development, leadership and understanding. This year’s Youth Bus programme involved participants aged 15 to 22 travelling and staying at all four districts from August 30 to September 3.

    A performance and a video recap of the five-day and four-night programme were showcased during the ceremony, while a presentation of tokens of appreciation to the sponsors marked the conclusion of the youth programme.

    Permanent Secretaries and Deputy Permanent Secretaries from the MCY as well as officers from the Temburong Distinct office were in attendance.
