Undergraduates polish thesis techniques

Over 40 undergraduates recently participated in the Third Series of the Thesis Proposal Preparation Technique workshop organised by the Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) through its Mazhab Shafi’i Research Centre (PPMS) in collaboration with the Centre for Graduate Studies (PPS) and was conducted by the Knowledge Club of PPMS.

PPMS Director Dr Azme bin Haji Matali, PPS Acting Director Associate Professor Dr Naamane Djeghim, PPMS Deputy Director Associate Professor Dr Ibnor Azli bin Ibrahim, Head of PPMS Postgraduate Programme Dr Cecep Soleh Kurniawan and Haji Mas Reduan bin Haji Jumat attended the workshop.

President of the PPMS Knowledge Club Ilham Dwitama Haeba, Deputy President of the PPMS Knowledge Club as well as executive committee and PPMS Knowledge Club members were also present.

The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa led by PPMS Master’s student Haji Muhammad Bilal Che ‘Mat bin Haji Abu Samah Shukri, followed by a welcome speech from the Knowledge Club, PPMS President.

The PPMS Director presented letters of appointment to the 12 members of the executive committee of the Knowledge Club, PPMS. The workshop then initiated with a topic on ‘Thesis Structuring’ by Associate Professor Dr Ibnor Azli.

The workshop aimed to guide students on the important contents that need to be emphasised when writing the thesis proposal paper, namely the technique of making an introduction, problem statement, previous research and methodology.
