Since the authority introduced a system that requires employers to apply for foreign labour online, companies have been struggling to obtain special passes.
It has been two months now, and we are unable to get the application through as it appears like Special Authorisation Work Pass has yet to be integrated into the system.
As a result, our businesses have been affected, given the special pass is vital for short-term projects, especially maintenance and repair works that require foreign expertise.
I hope the authority could look into the matter soon, before more industries get affected.
