Typo in recharge card?

I recently bought a recharge card from a telco company and was horrified by the typo in its instruction on how to top up phone credit.

Instead of an asterisk before the 12-digit pin, it instructed mobile phone users to key in a hashtag. After several failed attempts, a colleague pointed out to me that there was a mistake in the instruction.

I hope this issue could be rectified before more customers are faced with the same dilemma that I did.
