THE Land Transport Department (JPD) of the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications, informed about the appointment of JYM Company Sdn Bhd as an inspection station in Belait District as well as the upgrading of HB Auto Inspection and Service Centre Sdn Bhd in Pekan Seria.
JYM Company offers private vehicle inspection services of cars that are seven years and above, heavy vehicles weighing 3,629kg or four tonnes and below, and inspection of heavy vehicles of not more than 18,000kg, and inspection of public vehicles.
HB Auto Inspection and Service Centre has been upgraded to conduct a private vehicle qualification examination with additional permits to carry out heavy vehicle inspections of 3,629kg or four tonnes and below as well as inspection of public service vehicles.
Inspection services will not be offered by the Kuala Belait JPD branch beginning March 25. JPD Belait District branch will only handle technical inspections and enforcement.
Two other companies in Brunei-Muara District; United Motors Sdn Bhd and Bengkel Kereta Berakas Sdn Bhd workshops, have also been granted permission to conduct private vehicle inspection checks with additional permission to carry out heavy vehicle inspections of 3,629kg or four tonnes and below, and public vehicle inspection.

The JPD reminded appointed companies to comply with the stipulated conditions.
Meanwhile, JPD invited interested and qualified companies to apply and provide similar services in Tutong and Temburong districts.
