THE STAR – Premiering globally on June 3, on Netflix, is the latest instalment of the highly successful Sailor Moon franchise – Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie.
This is a two-part film that’s based on Dream arc from the original manga series by Naoko Takeuchi.
Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal focusses on Sailor Guardians’ growth – both as teenagers and Sailor Guardians. It will also explore the relationship between Chibi-Usa and Helios.
Directed by Chiaki Kon, the official synopsis reads, “Usagi and Chibi-Usa encounter a Pegasus named Helios, who is in search of the chosen Maiden that can break the seal of the Golden Crystal.
“Meanwhile, a mysterious troupe called the Dead Moon Circus appears in town, hatching a nefarious plan to scatter the nightmare incarnations known as Lemures, seize the Legendary Silver Crystal, rule over the moon and the earth, and eventually dominate the entire universe.”
Phew! That’s a lot of work.
