KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama) – Two friends pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court yesterday to a charge of committing gang robbery on a Finance Ministry officer last year.
Technician Mohd Fauzi Rahmad, 33, and former clerk Mohamad Hafizi Samsudin, 30, claimed trial to the charge which was read out before Judge Mohd Ghazali Mohamad Taib.
The duo were charged, with another person who had been charged, for robbing Asmahani Mohd Napiah, 36, of her Toyota Vellfire at basement 1 car park, Hotel Everly, Precinct 11, Putrajaya, at 11.15am on Dec 1, 2017.
The charged, under Section 395 the Penal Code, provides for a maximum jail term of 20 years and whipping upon conviction.
Mohd Ghazali set April 30 for mention and denied bail for both of them.
DPP Nurakmal Farhan Aziz appeared for the prosecution.
