THE Brunei-Muara District Office through the Licence and Enforcement Division carried out routine inspections at several premises and companies recently to ensure the cleanliness of the Brunei-Muara District.
Syarikat Al-Salman Sdn Bhd and Perushaan Samphon Resik were issued compound fines of BND500 for improper trash disposal. They have been given seven days to settle the fine, failing which the matter will be forwarded to court.
If convicted, a BND1,000 fine will be imposed for a first offender and a BND3,000 fine for subsequent offences – under Chapter 30 of the Minor Offences Act.
The Brunei-Muara District Office reminded the public to maintain the cleanliness of the Sultanate. The public can contact 2381581 to report matters of cleanliness.
