Twelve individuals, who helped to extinguish fires in four separate incidents, received recognition for their heroic acts from the Fire and Rescue Department’s (FRD) Operation ‘C’ Branch on Saturday.
The recipients of the Community Excellence Award were: three workers of SPPMB Menglait Petrol Station who extinguished a car fire on May 24, 2022; International School Brunei staff in Sungai Akar, who extinguished a car fire on May 13, 2022; OneCity Shopping Centre staff, who extinguished a building fire on September 11, 2022; and Setia Security staff, who extinguished a fire in one of the hostel rooms at Universiti Brunei Darussalam on August 7, 2022.
Acting Commanding Officer of Operation ‘C’ Branch SSFR Haji Mustapa bin Haji Mohamad, Operation Officer SFR Norazmi bin Haji Md Daud and Station Commander of Berakas Fire Station ASFR Mushidee bin Haji Junaidi presented the Community Excellence Awards.
