The much-anticipated Tutong District Amateur Football Association (TDAFA) League will kick off on June 6 amid the return of competitive football in the district.
TDAFA announced the return of the league after their first executive level meeting with newly appointed members on Friday.
The league will start two weeks earlier than the Brunei Super League- the country’s top division of football- which commences on June 20.
Meanwhile, team managers of various football clubs in the district have been informed to collect entry forms for the upcoming TDAFA League on March 28 at the TDAFA office during office hours. The association added that applications will close on April 30 at 5pm.
In ensuring the smooth preparations of the league, a team managers’ meeting will be held at the TDAFA office on May 23.
The TDAFA League was postponed and subsequently cancelled last season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Gladiators FT won the competition in 2019 following a 3-1 victory over Tutong Hotspurs in the final at the Tutong Sports Complex.
The new TDAFA executive committee members were recently appointed during the 10th Annual General Meeting.
