Winners of Murattal Al-Quran and Memorisation of Al-Quran Verses Competition for converts nationwide at District Level crowned yesterday, will move on to the National Level contest.
Abdul Hadi Nasrullah bin Muhd Ashraf and Nurhazimah binti Abdullah Luas were declared champions for Murattal Al-Quran category while Mohd Fadzil Ehsan bin Abdul Alyan and Nur Iffah Syazwanah binti Abdul Rahman won the Memorisation category.
The district level contest was organised by the Islamic Da’wah Centre in collaboration with Tutong District New Converts Association (PESATU), Welfare Body of Muslim Convers of Kampong Kiudang Mungkom (BASKIM) and Tutong District Muallaf Guidance Class (KBM).
A total of 19 converts qualified through the preliminary round held in April, comprising five men and five women for the Murattal Al-Quran category, while five men and four women were in the Memorisation category.
Head of Religious Officer in the Tutong District Haji Azman bin Haji Musa presented the prizes.
