Personnel from the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) and Royal Customs and Excise Department (RCED) uncovered a barrel and 43 bottles of a tuak (hard liquor) during a joint operation targetting a home at Kampong Bukit Puan in Labi on July 28.
Additionally, the team found 153 yeast balls just outside the house. Yeast is one of the ingredients required for tuak-making. All items were seized.
The home owner, suspected of brewing the concoction, was detained to assist with investigations.
