‘Trustworthy’ top PTET inter-house competition

THE Tutong Sixth Form Centre (PTET) recently hosted its annual inter-house track and field competition.

Trustworthy sports house topped the overall medal tally, followed by Excellence, Perseverance and Team Synergy.

Conducted on four separate days, the competition saw the participation of PTET’s sports houses – Perseverance, Trustworthy, Excellence, and Team Synergy – in various athletic events including javelin throw, shot put, disc throw, 100M run, 200m run, 400m run, 4x100m run, 1,500m run and tug-of-war.

Visiting schools Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Science College (MSPSBS) and Sayyidina Ali Secondary School (SMSA) were also invited for a friendly 4x100M run.

PTET’s Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) also participated in a friendly tug-of-war competition against staff and tutors.

Acting Director of the Co-Curriculum Education Department at the Ministry of Education Mohamed Jais bin Haji Abdul Rahman attended as guest of honour.

The event opened with a lively march-past and performance competition by all sports houses followed by speeches by PTET Principal Hajah Murni binti Haji Abdullah and the guest of honour as well as an oath reading led by student council leaders and PTET houses’ leaders.

The event ended with a prize, medals and trophy presentation for participants and winners along with a group photo session.
